Why Your Hot Melt Machine Is Wasting Adhesive (and How Precision Equipment Fixes It)

Adhesive is one of the quietest cost drivers in packaging production. Unlike board or ink, glue waste rarely shows up in a line report — it just shows up in your monthly material bill. And here is the part most plants miss: the majority of glue waste is not caused by operators. It is caused by the machine.

Three machine-related faults account for most adhesive losses. Uneven heating turns adhesive into charred lumps that have to be scraped out and discarded. Unstable melt output pushes operators to apply more glue than necessary, just to be safe.
