Correct installation is the first step toward reliable glue application and stable production.
This guide covers the basic installation process of a hot melt glue system and helps technicians prepare the equipment for daily operation.
Before installation, prepare the following tools:
Hexagonal tool kit
Open-end wrenches (12 mm, 14 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm)
Phillips screwdriver
Adjustable wrench
Having the correct tools ready makes the installation faster and easier.
Install the controller stand before mounting the equipment.
The process includes:
Remove the transport screws.
Position the controller bracket.
Secure the bracket with the supplied bolts.
Tighten all screws and check the stability.
A solid stand provides reliable support for the control system.
Mount the hot melt melter onto the stand and secure it in place.
Then:
Adjust the installation position.
Connect the heated hose.
Tighten all hose fittings.
Install the insulation cover.
Check that every connection is secure.
The equipment is now ready for the next installation step.
Mount the glue applicator onto the machine.
After installation:
Connect the air tubing.
Adjust the applicator position.
Set the nozzle height and angle.
Check the distance between the nozzle and the product.
Proper adjustment helps achieve accurate and consistent glue application.
Complete the pneumatic connections.
This includes:
Connecting the glue gun air line.
Installing the oil-water separator.
Securing all air fittings.
Checking for air leaks.
A clean and stable air supply improves system performance.
Set the operating pressure before production.
Recommended settings:
Glue pressure: approximately 0.2–0.3 MPa
Air pressure: approximately 0.4–0.5 MPa
After adjustment, run several test cycles and fine-tune the settings if needed.
Before starting production, check the following:
Equipment is securely mounted.
Heated hose is connected correctly.
Air tubing is installed properly.
Pressure settings are correct.
Glue applicator position is accurate.
All electrical and pneumatic connections are secure.
Once these checks are completed, the hot melt glue system is ready for production.
This installation guide is suitable for hot melt glue systems used in:
Folding carton production
Corrugated box manufacturing
Paper bag production
End-of-line packaging
Product assembly
Woodworking applications
Following the correct installation procedure helps ensure stable glue application, reliable equipment performance, and reduced maintenance. A properly installed hot melt glue system supports efficient production and consistent bonding quality across a wide range of packaging applications.
